Dunham silenced all the doubters after winning the division III state championship versus arch rival Episcopal 49-48 in a game where it looked as if the Knights would run away with it early. A huge 3rd quarter by the Tigers led by junior Jordan Wright is what changed the momentum of the game. It’s no doubt Dunham’s defensive intensity in the 3rd & 4th quarter is what won them the game.
Dunham’s Jordan Wright was fantastic down the stretch hitting some clutch baskets to propel his team to a win. Under a minute Wright hit a shot to take the lead 47-45, but Episcopal’s Cameron Dumas would come right back to hit a tough shot in the lane to tie it at 47 all. Wright would again come to the rescue hitting virtually the game winner with .5 seconds left in the game. Jordan Wright led all scorers with 25 points & Cameron Dumas led Episcopal with 20 points.
