Madison Prep #1 vs Peabody #2 “3A State Championship”

In their first year in 3A, Madison Prep wins the state championship in convincing fashion over powerhouse Peabody 69-50. Even though Madison Prep was the #1 seed, many believed Peabody would be the team that wins it all. The Chargers’ pressure man to man defense seem to disrupt everything that Peabody wanted to do on offense & it would eventually be the deciding factor why the game got out of hand in the second half.

This makes the 4th state championship in row for Madison Prep & I think it’s safe to say this is a dynasty in the making. Josh LeBlanc was terrific throughout the whole top 28 & led Madison Prep with 19 points in front of his future coach Patrick Ewing. Tyrese Walker, who is the glue guy on the team finished with 17 points & his pressure defense gave Peabody fits all night. Kyron Gibson had a hell of a game for Peabody leading them in scoring with 21 points in a losing effort.
