Thibodaux took care of business on Friday night beating Central Lafourche 67-57 after losing a nail biter at their place in the first half of district play. Both teams will now share the district 7-5A title.

Thibodaux is going into the playoffs riding a 6 game win streak & they seem to be hitting on all cylinders at the right time. Junior Kobi Johnson led all scorers with 18 points & sophomore Kyren Lacy poured in 16 points for Thibodaux. David Robinson Jr. led Central Lafourche with 17 points.

Thibodaux has all the necessary tools to get to Lake Charles & make a run in 5A. They have really good guard play with two brothers in the backcourt Kobi & Corey Johnson running the show. Their sophomore wing Kyren Lacy continues to emerge every game & he has been playing at a very high level as of late. Post man Jaquan Wagner is probably the most important piece to this team because of how he impacts the game in a number of different ways. What has made the Tigers a legitimate contender is the play from their role players like Corey Brooks, Tyren Young, DeMarcus Mitchell, & Rashod Robinson. Be on the lookout for this team come playoff time.
