H.L Bourgeois continues to play at a high level beating arch rival Terrebonne Saturday night 88-59 to stay undefeated in district play.
Terrebonne made it very competitive in the beginning giving the Braves all they can handle only trailing 32-26 at the half. The second half would be a different story with the Braves scoring 36 points in the third quarter alone. A.J Rainey had a lot to do with that by pouring in 25 points in that third quarter. Rainey finished the game with 45 points, 9 assists, 5 steals, & 3 blocks. This kid has been on a tear as of late scoring 52 points versus Destrahan on Thursday night. It’s no doubt that Rainey has put the state on notice this season, & I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins the state player of the year with the type of season he is having. Divine Martin was second in scoring for H.L Bourgeois with 20 points.
